RockTape Kinesiology Tape, 2" BULK Roll
Ever had a nagging injury that never seems to heal 100%? Something that's bad enough to bother you for weeks or months, but doesn't keep you out of the gym or send you to your doctor in writhing pain? Stretching and mobility work doesn't seem to quite do it? Kinesiology tape exists for unwinding those long-lasting injuries, and RockTape is #1 in the market.
What is Kinesiology tape?
RockTape (and kinesiology tape) is fairly new to the scene of injury rehab. It was traditionally used by chiropractors in eastern medicine and entered the realm of western medicine at the advent of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, when all participating athletes received free samples. RockTape is applied directly to the body, wrapping around an inflamed joint or tight muscle. Being composed of thin elastic cotton tape, it can stretch up to 180% to maximize range of motion while maintaining its full benefit to the underlying skin.
What are the Benefits of RockTape?
Basic athletic tape can only stabilize a joint or muscle or provide protection to sports wounds like band-aids. Kinesiology tape, like RockTape, directly treats injuries by creating a decompressive effect underneath the surface area it covers. RockTape microscopically lifts skin away from muscle and tissue below to allow for swelling and inflammation to be removed more quickly.
The decompressive effect provides multiple benefits. RockTape can reduce the amount of pain recognized from an injury, allow for inflamed, damaged tissue to drain more quickly, delay fatigue, and promote normal range of motion and movement as you recover. You can feel better, recover quicker, and maintain mobility while dealing with an injury.
Who Uses RockTape?
RockTape is designed to perform under the toughest competition conditions and for daily use. It is a staple in many CrossFit athlete's gear and equipment line-up, used by bodybuilders, swimmers, and many other competitive athletes. Kids, adults, and seniors with minor or chronic pain have also found it beneficial. Medical professionals use the tape in rehab tool kits.
