The best landmine attachment depends first on what will hold the pivot. For a compatible REP rack and an Olympic bar, choose the Adroit Rack-Mounted when magnetic storage and one included pin-adapter system are worth the premium. Choose REP’s Standard Landmine for the lower rack-mount price or a supported 1-inch bar. Without a rack, compare the $30 AbMat Barbell Bomb with REP’s dedicated floor bases before paying for an exercise handle.

Best landmine attachments by setup

A base or pivot holds one end of the bar. A handle goes on the working end to change your grip. A T-bar row handle alone does not supply a pivot, and an Olympic bar’s 28–29 mm shaft is not its 2-inch sleeve.

Exact option / best fit Manufacturer price Mount and bar fit Avoid it when…
REP Standard Landmine — existing compatible rack $99.99, either series 4000 or 5000/1000 variant; 1-inch and 2-inch bar support. Included band-peg mounting. You have not matched the series, or want Adroit’s magnetic storage.
REP × Kleva Adroit Rack-Mounted — storage priority $139.99 REP 4000/5000; 5/8-inch or 1-inch holes using included adapter. Olympic 2-inch sleeves only. You use a 1-inch bar or need a base that moves away from the rack.
REP × Kleva Adroit Free-Standing — floor-post setup $97.99, selected variant 2-inch Olympic sleeves. REP recommends two 45 lb ballast plates. You lack suitable ballast plates or expect to convert it to rack-mounted later.
REP Free Standing Landmine — dedicated floor base $99.99 33 lb base; 2-inch tube plus smaller 1.3-inch tube. No rack required. The base and working bar arc will not fit your floor space.
AbMat Barbell Bomb — portable budget option
Manufacturer: AbMat Barbell Bomb specifications
$30.00 Foam base for a standard Olympic barbell, on a suitable training surface. Your training needs a fixed rack connection or a documented numerical load rating.

All five options were orderable in their manufacturer product feeds when checked. This is a purchase-state snapshot, not a guarantee of warehouse inventory. No numerical capacity was verified for the Barbell Bomb.

Two buying routes worth separating

Owned REP rack, Olympic bar: the Adroit upgrade costs $40 more than the Standard rack landmine. Buy it for the documented storage and mounting features; this comparison does not establish a difference in felt smoothness or long-term durability.

Your rack Standard variant to examine Adroit Rack-Mounted
REP PR-4000 / 3 × 3 in nominal uprights / 5/8 in holes 4000. REP also lists SR-4000 and PR-4100 support. Supported 4000 series; use the specified pin setup.
REP PR-5000 / 3 × 3 in nominal uprights / 1 in holes 5000/1000. REP also lists Omni and Apollo. Supported 5000 series; use the included sleeve adapter as instructed.
REP PR-1000, PR-1050, PR-1100 / 2 × 2 in nominal uprights / 1 in holes 5000/1000 per REP’s Standard compatibility list. Not a listed 1000-series recommendation here.
Another brand, even with matching nominal holes Obtain confirmation for the exact model and mounting location. Matching hole diameter alone is not a compatibility approval.

Match the rack generation, upright, hole diameter, mounting location and available pin length. Look for interference from front feet, storage horns and cable hardware. Our rack-hole guide explains why hole size and spacing are separate checks.

REP Adroit rack mounting and floor ballast photos with published fit dimensions
Manufacturer photos with WOD Fever overlays. REP lists 5/8- or 1-inch mounting holes, a 6.9-inch tube, 3.5-inch extension from the upright and 2-inch bar sleeves. Its floor configuration uses separate support parts; REP recommends two 45 lb ballast plates. REP source, checked October 19, 2026. Photos are not a scaled clearance plan. Reserve room for the complete moving bar, plate edges, chosen grip and your body. A compact pivot does not make the working setup compact. Check the unloaded intended movement against walls, garage doors and other attachments. Compare exact bar lengths and sleeve space before choosing a shorter bar.

Which floor base makes sense?

The Barbell Bomb is the lowest-cost portable choice here. It uses floor contact instead of a rack-mounted joint; the surface and movement matter. The REP Free Standing model occupies an 18.4 × 13.8-inch base, with 26.3 inches of total length when its sleeve extends forward. Its listed 500 lb rating does not independently prove resistance to shifting.

The Adroit floor-post and rack-mounted configurations use different support parts and cannot be converted with a separately sold conversion kit. The lower current floor-version price is useful only if you already have its ballast and suitable room.

A row or Viking-press handle is optional and must fit the working sleeve, plate placement and intended exercise. Do not buy a cable handle assuming it includes a landmine sleeve adapter. Buy the pivot first; add a handle only for a grip your training needs.

Landmine buying questions

Is the most expensive attachment automatically best?

No. If the correct Standard variant supports your rack and bar, an extra storage feature may not justify the price. Conversely, a cheap base that needs plates you do not own can cost more to complete.

Does a 1-inch rack hole mean a 1-inch bar fits?

No. Rack-hole diameter describes mounting hardware. Bar-sleeve compatibility is a separate specification. The Adroit accepts 2-inch sleeves even though its mounting hardware supports two rack-hole sizes.

What should I buy for T-bar rows?

First establish a suitable pivot, compatible bar and clear working area. Then choose a row handle by sleeve fit and grip clearance. A handle recommendation cannot resolve the base’s mounting or anchoring requirements.
