For a compatible REP 5–50 lb fixed dumbbell set, start with REP’s three-tier Dumbbell Rack. For QuickDraw or REP x PÉPIN, choose the matching Adjustable Dumbbell Stand tray variant. For mixed equipment and future expansion, quote the modular system. Load capacity is only one check: dumbbell geometry, shelf space and hand clearance can rule out a rack first.

Three different storage jobs — compare actual equipment fit
Storage choice Published fit dimensions Load / included components Cost and skip condition
REP three-tier Dumbbell Rack 42.5 in usable length per tier; 10 in shelf depth; 4.5 in hand-grab opening. Outer: 48 L × 23.4 D × 34.6 H in. 1,000 lb total rating; rack only, dumbbells excluded. Fixed vertical shelf clearance not published. $209.99. Skip without a physical fit check for non-REP dumbbells; no universal adjustable-cradle compatibility.
REP Adjustable Dumbbell Stand — QuickDraw or PÉPIN trays 31 W × 22.3 L in; technical height 18.1–21 in on wheels. QuickDraw trays 9 × 21.4 in; PÉPIN 7.2 × 19.8 in. 300 lb total rating. Matching trays, liners and casters; dumbbells and their cradles are separate. $299.99. Match the tray variant; skip for an unsupported brand. Optional leveling feet $20.99 replace casters.
REP Stand-Alone Modular Storage System 41 in and 72 in shelf families. Example 41 in unit: 50.6 W × 30.1 D × 60 H in; shelf height set by build. 41 in dumbbell shelf 600 lb; 72 in reversible shelf 750 lb. These are per-shelf ratings, not whole-frame ratings. Builder starts $497.95; not a quote for every illustrated build. Skip without checking all uprights, feet, shelves and hardware.

Fixed pairs: fit the heads, then check the load

REP says one three-tier rack holds its 5–50 lb set, two racks serve its 5–75 lb set, and its 5–100 lb set needs two racks with the 95s and 100s on the floor. Those claims apply to REP's listed sets; they are not a promise for every other manufacturer's dumbbells.

A 5–50 lb set in 5 lb increments contains 10 pairs and weighs 550 lb in total: 2 × (5 + 10 + … + 50). A 5–75 lb set weighs 1,200 lb. The 1,000 lb total rating therefore cannot support that entire second set on one rack, even before checking space.

Measure the widest dumbbell head dimension along the shelf, the depth where both heads contact the rails, and the room your fingers need around the handle. Sum actual occupied widths on each proposed shelf, including gaps for retrieval. Do not divide a 42.5-inch shelf by one small dumbbell's width and assume the large pairs fit.

Adjustable dumbbells need their cradles

The REP stand is made for QuickDraw and REP x PÉPIN FAST Series, with different trays. Keep the original compatible cradles attached as instructed so selectors and return alignment work. Cradle dimensions, rather than the dimensions of the loaded dumbbell alone, determine fit.

The QuickDraw version weighs 65 lb and the PÉPIN version 69 lb. The listed stand footprint excludes your stance and the space needed to operate selectors. The optional leveling feet replace the included casters; they are not an extra stack of height added beneath the wheels.

Modular storage: check the shelf-generation exclusion

REP's modular page lists 41-inch dumbbell, kettlebell and ball/plate shelves plus a 72-inch reversible dumbbell/kettlebell shelf. It explicitly excludes its product named “Rubber Coated Dumbbells” from the documented dumbbell-shelf combinations. Do not treat all products described casually as “rubber dumbbells” as the same line. Match the exact product and shelf.

The 3×3-inch current system is also different from the original 2×2-inch modular system; REP says the generations are not component-compatible. Quote the actual builder basket: uprights, required feet/crossmembers, shelf quantity/type, connecting hardware and any liners. The displayed starting price is not the price of a three-shelf 72-inch unit.

Build and price REP modular storage

Cost the complete storage decision

One three-tier rack is $209.99; two are $419.98 at the observed price. The adjustable stand is $299.99, or $320.98 with the optional feet before tax. These amounts exclude dumbbells. Product pages displayed free shipping, but confirm your delivery location and selected options at checkout. Metallic Black rack and stand availability must be checked on the exact variant.

Check REP rack fit and current variant

Buying storage before selecting the dumbbells can lock you into the wrong geometry. First compare fixed versus adjustable dumbbells; then use garage layout planning to reserve retrieval space. If a bench also needs a permanent home, compare bench storage dimensions.
