Historical workout post — corrected training guidance

"Spinning Grace"

Historical workout note: the original 2017 post added an overhead turn to Grace. WOD Fever does not recommend rotating with a loaded bar overhead. Use the standard or scaled Grace alternative below.

Standard Grace: 30 clean and jerks for time (135 lb / 95 lb), without an added turn.

Commentary

Scale the load and, when needed, the total repetitions so every rep ends in a controlled, stable lockout. Lower the bar under control with a clear landing area; do not add a turn while it is overhead. A fast previous Grace time does not establish readiness for an added loaded balancing task. Practice the clean and jerk separately before using it in a timed workout.

Our Grace workout guide explains loading, movement standards, pacing and scaled options. For the benchmark prescription, see CrossFit's Grace workout.
